After the visit of NAAC peer team to the college on 21/09/2013, the college prepared the perspective / strategic plan by taking into account the following aspects

  1. NAAC peer team’s observations and recommendations for quality enhancement of the Institution during the previous re-accreditation.
  2. Vision and Mission of the Institution
  3. The feedback obtained from various stakeholders of the college
  4. The policy of higher education
  5. Recommendation of IQAC

 

Strategic plan

By taking into consideration above mentioned aspects, the college planned the following activities for the quality enhancement of the Institution:

  • Introducing new courses

Due to the keen demand of the various stakeholders of the institution, the College plans to introduce new academic courses such as M.A. ( Ambedkar Thought) B.A. ( Pali Literature), M.Phil (English and Sociology) because these courses are not available in the colleges as well as affiliating University. As per the demands of the stakeholders the college plans to start value aided and skill-based courses such as Certificate course in 1. Yoga and Meditation, 2. Buddhist Studies, 3. ICT, 4. Spoken English, 5. Ambedkar Thought.For the better transaction of curriculum the college plans to introduce bridge course

  • Strengthening feedback system

The college plans to strengthen the feedback system. It makes structured questionnaire to obtain feedback from various stakeholders such as Students, Teachers, Employers, Alumni, Parents and others.

  • Strengthening curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities

For the all-round development of the students the college proposes to strengthen curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities through N.S.S., N.C.C., Women’s Study Centre, Cultural Departments, Physical Education Departments, Population Education Club, Social Science Association, Literary Association, Science Association, Commerce Association, Nature club, Various Departments of the College,

  • Promoting research culture and innovation

The College plans to promote research culture and innovation through the research committee, Research papers, Publications and participations in innovation based activities such as AVISHKAR and Innovation Competitions organized by Gondwana University, Gadchiroli. The College plans to start Centre for Higher learning and research in the subjects such as English, Sociology, Economics and Pali. The College proposes to organize Conferences, Seminars and Workshops through various departments and plans to start “Chintan – Manan Kendra”

  • Promotion of linkages and collaborations with institutions/ industries/ NGO’s

As per the guidelines of UGC and NAAC, the college plans to promote linkages and collaborations with the other higher education institutions, industries, NGO’s, and GO’s.

  • Strengthening the infrastructure

The college plans to renovate Boys common room, Girls common room and proposes to renovate and develop parking for students, College Garden. It proposes to extend, develop and modernize existing language lab and other laboratories such as Zoology, Botany, Physics and Chemistry. It plans to modify ICT enabled classrooms and Seminar Hall, Chair, Refrigerator, Fire Extinguisher, Almirah, Book case, Computer Table, Games and sports material, Gas connection, Office Table, solar water Hitter, Inverter, Water cooler etc.

  • Increasing the numbers of computers and other ICT related equipments

The college plans to increase the number of computers and ICT enabled equipment for the betterment of academic and administrative activities such as Computer, Camera, CCTV cameras, LCD TV, Printer, Scanner, Projection Screen, Projector, Software for Office, language lab and library, TFT, Xerox/ Photocopier Machine, Barcode printer and Scanner, Key board and mouse, pen drive, Speaker intex etc.

  • Strengthening skill development activities

For the personality development of the students, the college plans to strengthen skill development activities through various department of the college.

  • Strengthening personal counseling

For the all-round development of the students, college proposes to strengthen personal counseling activities for the students through mentor-mentee programme.

  • Strengthening the ICT enabled teaching

The college plans to strengthen ICT enabled teaching through the use of E-learning resources and learning management systems.

  • Strengthening the activities of career counseling cell and centre for entry in services.

The College propose to strengthen the activities of carries counseling cell and centre for entry in services such as seminars, guest lectures, training, guidance session, personality development session, coaching classes for competitive examinations, etc.

  • Increasing participation of students in cultural and sports & games activities

The college plans to increase participation of students in cultural and sports & games activities for the all-round development of the students.

  • Increasing Faculty / Staff development programme

The college proposes to increase Faculty as well as Staff development programmes such as Workshops, Seminars, Conferences, Training.

  • Developing sport culture and facilities

The college plans to develop Sports Culture by organizing various activities and plans to offers incentives for sports activities such as special sports kit, sports materials, diet, certificate of appreciation and mementoes. It plans to upgrade sports facilities in the college.

  • Strengthening welfare schemes for students

The college plans to strengthen welfare schemes for students such as Book Donation Scheme, Scholarships and Freeships, Hostel facilities for Boys’  & Girls’, NRC, Remedial Coaching classes, Coaching classes for SC,ST,OBC and other minority students, ambulance facility and Doctor on Call facility, Free Medical Check-up and free Hospitalization, Student Safety Insurance, Grievance Redressal Cell, Mahila Takrar Nivaran Samiti, Anti Ragging Cell, Women’s study Centre, Carrier Councelling cell, Centre for entry in services, Parking facility, Providing Sanitary Napkins, Canteen facility, Publishing College magazine, Garden facility, Library Reading Room, etc.

  • Strengthening the conduction of social activities

The College plans to increase the conduction of social activities to create strong connectivity with neighborhood Community through various departments and committies of the college.

  • Conducting green audit of college campus

The college plans to conduct Green Audit of the College Campus through NSS, NCC, Nature Club. To conduct green audit, the college plans to establish MOU with “Zep Nisarg Bahu-uddeshiya Sanstha, Nagbhid”.

  • Strengthening innovative pedagogical teaching

To make teaching learning process more effective, the college plans to strengthen innovative Pedagogical Teaching such as Peer Teaching-learning, ICT enabled  teaching, interactive method, participative learning, experiential learning, problem solving method, seminars, assignments, group discussion, Mentor-mentee programme, Use of Language Lab, Brain Storming session, Industrial Visits, Excursion and study toure.

  • Increasing library learning resources

The College plans to increase Library Learning Resources for the development of students and staffs.

  • Promoting research culture and innovation

The College has developed research culture and innovation through the research committee, Research papers, Publications and participations in innovation based activities such as AVISHKAR and Innovation Competitions organized by Gondwana University, Gadchiroli. The students of college regularly participated in Avishkar, Research competition. The college has organized many workshop, conferences and seminars through various departments. The College started Centre for Higher learning and research in the subjects such as English, Sociology, Economics and Pali from the session 2014-2015. At present 20 students are pursuing their Ph.D. from the department of English, 12 students are pursuing their Ph.D. from the department of Sociology, 08 students are pursuing their Ph.D. from the department of Economics and 03 students are pursuing their Ph.D. from the department of Pali of the college. The department of English and Sociology jointly organized workshop on Research Methodology on 16.09.2017. The IQAC of the college organized two workshops on IPR especially copyright and plagiarism for the session 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 respectively. The 13 students from the department of English and 16 students from the department of Sociology have completed their M.Phil studies for the session 2014-2015, The 30 students from the department of English and 24 students from the department of Sociology have completed their M.Phil studies for the session 2015-2016, The 20 students from the department of English and 09 students from the department of Sociology have completed their M.Phil studies for the session 2016-2017 and The 30 students from the department of English and 17 students from the department of Sociology have completed their M.Phil studies for the session 2017-2018. The good number of teachers published their research papers in UGC listed and peer review journals and participated in University, State, National and Inter National workshops, Seminars and Conferences. Few faculty members published books from the reputed publishers. Five permanent faculty members are working as Ph.D. supervisor of affiliating University. For creating innovations in research, extension and academic and social activities, the college has established “Chintan-manan Kendra” from the session 2018-2019.

For the all-round development of the students, college has strengthened the personal counseling activities for the students through mentor-mentee programme.

  • Strengthening the ICT enabled teaching

The college has strengthened ICT enabled teaching through the use of E-learning resources and learning management systems such as Inflibnet, EPG Pathshala, Swayam, Moodle Cloud, You tube, Online journals and books and other free e-sources. The faculty members of the college developed the e-content by capturing their audio-visual lecture,  used power point presentation for teaching, provided study materials to the students by uploading notes on google drive. The college has started e-cell from the session 2018-2019 for strengthening ICT enabled teaching.

  • Strengthening the activities of career counseling cell and centre for entry in services.

The College has strengthened the activities of carrer counseling cell and centre for entry in services by organizing activities such as seminars, guest lectures, training, guidance session, personality development session, coaching classes for competitive examinations, etc. The details are as follows :

  1. Career counseling cell organized One day seminar on Job opportunities in various fields by inviting experts of DMIMS, Nagpur for the session 2013-2014.
  2. Centre for entry in services provided coaching for competitive examinations to 39 students for the session 2013-2014.
  3. Career counseling cell organized One day seminar on Career and employment for college students by inviting experts of DMIMS, Nagpur for the session 2014-2015.
  4. Centre for entry in services provided coaching for competitive examinations to 26 students for the session 2014-2015.
  5. Career counseling cell organized One day seminar on Career and employment for college students by inviting experts of DMIMS, Nagpur for the session 2015-2016.
  6. Centre for entry in services provided coaching for competitive examinations to 29 students for the session 2015-2016.
  7. Career counseling cell organized One day seminar on Career and employment for college students by inviting experts of KDK College, Nagpur for the session 2016-2017.

  9. Career counseling cell organized One day State level workshop on competitive examination on 09 Dec, 2017. The ten IAS and IPS officer were the resource person of the function. 995 students attended the programme.

  11. 09 students of the career counseling cell participated in the placement camp organized by Bhiwapur mahavidyalya, Bhiwapur on 06 Feb, 2018.

  13. Career counseling cell organized one day workshop on ICT based teaching learning on 20 March 2018.
