Founder President – Bar. Rajabhau Khobragade
Bar. Rajabhau D. Khobragade, Ex-deputy Chairman of Raj sabha, was born in Maharashtra in Chandrapur city on 25th September, 1925 in a well to do family. His father, Devaji Khobragade was a part of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar, social movement. Devaji Khobragade was profoundly influenced by the philosophy of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Because of social commitment, he decided to give his lonely son Rajabhau to Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar for serving society.
Bar. Rajabhau Khobragade went to England for higher education. He returned back from England with the degree of Bar-at-Law. He tried to spread message of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar i.e. “educate, agitate and organize” till the last breath of his life.
When one peeps into the history of dalits and havenots in Indian Society, we cannot forget the name of Bar.Rajabhau Khobragade because he strived endlessly for the welfare of educationally deprived, economically weaker and socially discriminated classes of the society. He established education societies name after Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at Chandrapur and Bramhapuri. He did Sattyagraha for Society. Besides, the place of Bar. Rajabhau Khobragade in Republican Party of India is very great indeed.
